one hundred white suits

Commissioned by the Cambridge Arts Council, Crowded River is a reflection upon the architecture and meaning of human gathering. Crowds erupt out of the festival gathering throughout the day, illuminating the infinite manifestations of crowds in daily life. One hundred white suits create a frame for spontaneous and rehearsed expressions of identification, pattern, organization, and chaos. The festival audience is invited to join spontaneous performance actions orchestrated by a team of crowd facilitators and may write their observations on the suits with the pens provided.
