Inspired by the 1940's film, The Red Shoes, this two-channel projection captures a woman divided by two worlds, the body and the machine.

Project: Dance/ Video Collaboration

Collaborative project with one or more members of the dance department. The sound score is important and may also involve collaborators in sound design. No pre-recorded music may be used unless strongly manipulated. Use of green screen will be taught at the beginning of the semester and may be used for this project. Consider alternative ways of exhibiting the piece; while it may be viewed as a single channel work, you may also present it as an installation element, two-screen projection, site specific piece, etc. Length of work should be approximately 3-5 minutes but may be conceived of as a durational loop.
